Wow just wow - this place is brilliant and I seriously could not find even one fault with anything from start to finish. I’m absolutely thrilled that I came to Nord for my hip replacement surgery! After only two weeks after surgery I’m confidently slowly walking around my home without any crutches and am walking relaxed without any joint stiffness (and I have a wonderful gait - free and easy). I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is in need of treatment. Yes it is daunting when considering surgery abroad but Nord have the most excellent process which takes the pressure off totally. This process starts from the moment you make an enquiry - it is so well structured and planned out and makes the whole experience one which is stress free and easy. I was contacted by Agne who was my Nord Representative and she was marvellous. The emails which Agne sent were structured and timely according to the stage of my enquiry. I was able to email and call her to discuss anything at any time. There is no language barrier in Nord - everyone’s English is superb. Thank you so much for everything Agne x I am a 58 year old woman and I travelled to Lithuania by myself. I made the decision as I knew 3 other local people who had been there - all of who could not fault the clinic and all of who were thrilled with the results. I flew from Liverpool and chose the Radisson to stay in. My stay was a total of 14 days. This worked well for me - the hotel was really lovely and I was able to have breakfast every morning and use the restaurant if needed at lunchtime or evening. The clinic itself is beautiful new and pristine throughout. It even smells lovely whilst relaxing spa music quietly plays in the background. After my operation I had 11 sessions of physio therapy and two lymph drainage massages before arriving back home. The physiotherapist Professor Laimonas is brilliant in his field and also deals with all aftercare - changing dressings after a week and before traveling home. I was able to run any concerns by him and he gave me excellent advice. In the Uk the approximate price for hip replacement surgery is about £17,000 - and this doesn’t include any aftercare or physio therapy. At Nord I paid approximately just over £8,000 - this included everything - a top quality implant, 12 night stay in the Radisson, physio therapy and aftercare, transport, food and massages. My surgeon, anaesthetist, nurses and physiotherapist were all so excellent professional and genuinely kind. A special thank you to my most excellent surgeon / Professor Sarunas Tarasevicious who has undertaken over 5,000 hip replacement surgeries. Professor Sarunas is absolutely excellent in his field - I have my mobility back and it feels wonderful! A special thank you also to my anaesthetist who was so careful to make me feel at ease - what a skilled kind and lovely person. I barely felt the epidural. Also a special thanks to my excellent Physiotherapist Professor Liamonas for his knowledge and skill - the sessions were brilliant and so much fun. Patients all meet each other at different stages of the journey and by the end of the journey it feels like one big happy family!! We had lots of laughs at physio. I completed the Nord end of treatment questionnaire - my every answer was an excellent 10/10. I just could not think of anything which could be improved on or anything which was not worthy of an excellent score. I also didn’t hear one negative comment from any of the patients at Nord during my two week stay. I would highly recommend anyone who is in need of treatment to take that first step in making an enquiry on the Nord website and let Nord start the process for you - look no further - Nord is absolutely excellent!

Frustrated with the Waiting List in Wales (Rhondda Cynon Taf LHB) , I searched for clinic abroad that would be able to perform my Total Knee Replacement (TKR) within a timely time period for a more reasonable price that the Spite and Nuffield Clinic in Cardiff. I found the Nordorthopeadic Clinic from Kaunas, Lithuania advertising on Social Media. A very sceptical Mrs B. tried to uncover some bad news story about the clinic, no no avail. I applied to join the Nord Clinic Patient Facebook group, a social media group where patients who have attended Nord Clinic share their experiences of travelling t to, and staying in Kaunas for surgery. I attended an event in Cardiff during November 2024, where the lead surgeon, Professor Tarasevicius explains the process, and held a open Q&A session. I sent my XRays to Nord Clinic (available from my local trust via a Subject Access Request) , booked surgery for 5th December 2024, and flights from Stanstead (return to Bristol) for 3rd December. I stayed at a cheap hotel for two nights prior to my surgery (you attend the clinic as an outpatient for your pre-op tests), and a four star city centre hotel post-op. Nord Clinic arrange everything from the minute you arrive at the airport to departure. Transport to and from the hotel / clinic pre-op, transfer t re-hab from your hotel / apartment post op. The whole process runs like a well-oiled machine. Lithuania is a member of the EU and a member of NATO (ease of mind), excellent English is spoken by all staff, and restaurant / cafe staff, basically everyone under the age of 40 has been taught English in school. The total cost for my whole trip, including surgery was Circa £7,500, today (19th December) my local surgery removed my dressing and were all amazed I am walking without the use of crutches, the stitches are self-disolving so no need for them to be removed. I would like to thank the staff at Nord Clinic for all of their efforts. Ian Bowen
